S'mores Banana Boats

Got some leftover S'mores ingredients and a few ripe bananas? Well I know the perfect sweet treat you can try with friends and family any day of the week! I baked these S'mores Banana Boats in the oven for convenience purposes, but you can also throw them on the grill or over a bonfire and they will come out super yummy! The banana becomes warm and extra sweet, and the marshmallows and chocolate become ooey-gooey and delicious! The gluten free graham crackers also get super crispy and yummy! Eat them warm when they come out of the oven, but be careful because it's hard to stop when you start!

Ingredients:

  • 3 medium bananas

  • 1/3 cup DF and GF chocolate chips or chunks

  • 1/3 cup chopped GF graham crackers

  • 1/3 cup GF mini marshmallows

  • 3 half pieces of tinfoil

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Keeping the peel on, slice most of the way through the bananas. Be careful not to pierce through the peel to the other side. Use your hands to press it down and create more room for the fillings.

  3. Evenly distribute the chocolate chips or chunks, GF graham crackers and mini marshmallows amongst the insides of the 3 bananas.

  4. Once they are filled, place them in the tinfoil pieces and scrunch the tinfoil around the bananas, creating a 'boat' look.

  5. Place them on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes until the marshmallows are golden brown and the chocolate is melted. Remove from the oven, serve warm, and enjoy!

Note: You can also cook the banana boats on the grill or over a campfire for about the same amount of time! They will turn out super yummy that way as well!
