I've only had a couple frosés prior to this summer, but now I would say it is one of my favorite cold drinks to have on a warm day! They are refreshing, not too boozy, and great to share with friends and family. I love this recipe because it is super easy and there is no prep work. No need to freeze the rosé ahead of time, just grab all of your ingredients and throw them in a high speed blender or food processor and they're ready to serve! I am the worst at remembering to do ahead work before making a recipe, so that is why I came up with this version.
I also love the combination of strawberries and peaches for the summer because it adds something different and exciting to the drink! This recipe is also not too boozy, so you can always add an extra splash of your favorite type of wine and mix it in! I like it with a little splash of merlot or something bubbly.
Ingredients:
1 750 ml bottle of rosé (choose a bolder rosé like pinot noir or merlot rosé)
1/2 cup sugar (or 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp monkfruit sweetener as a refined sugar free option)
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 1/2 cups frozen strawberries
2 1/2 cups frozen peaches
2 1/2 cups ice
optional fresh peaches, strawberries, and lemon for topping
Directions:
Add all of the ingredients except the ice into a high speed blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Add in the ice and blend until fluffy and smooth. If you want it even thicker, you can add in more frozen fruit or ice.
Poor the frosé into glasses and top with fresh peaches, strawberries, or lemons if you prefer and enjoy! Make sure to share with family and friends!
Note:
This recipe is best fresh, but I have also made this recipe ahead of time and popped it in a container in the freezer. You can then take the container out ahead of time and allow it to thaw a bit at room temperature until it is a consistency you like.
This recipe makes roughly 4 glasses of frosé!
